Above Sunday 11th March - leaving the camp site at Benson it's a glorious day

On arrival at Tombstone, we find John Wesley Harding and Billy the kid having a disagreement.

Above Big Nose Kates saloon bar is pulling in the punters.

Local transport is somewhat quaint

Above heading back to our camp at Benson it's been a good day.

Monday morning 12th March: We have had an excellent couple of days here in Benson Arizona, especially after the long drive over Friday and Saturday. We plan now to visit some caves locally, then take a leisurely drive north and possibly get past Phoenix which is about 160 miles from here. We have no reservations or indeed any fixed plan - just head north and find some place that looks good. We will soon be getting onto Route 66 around Flagstaff and spending a bit of time there exploring the Grand Canyon region. More of that to come...

  2. Looking at bottom two photos, if it's a fair trek in "Hurricane", think what it was like in a covered wagon with arrows aimed at you by an ethnic minority? Shame you found a fight in Tombstone - people find the same passing Frankie's Bar in Hawick - which has now been closed - Ha Ha. Cheers
